While I was listening to the interview, I went into my bathroom and started reading the labels on all my personal “beauty” products (that is when I COULD read the miniscule printing). I was astounded. Here I thought I was pretty “green,” but apparently not. One of the products even warned me to be careful, that the product could catch on fire….on FIRE? On my face???? Yikes!!! And some of the products that are touted as being so healthy for us (like Aveeno and Eucerin) are not so much. They contain that coco-proponol-something or other mentioned by Alexa AND petroleum. Even some Burt’s Bees products had petroleum in them. Everything went in the can to be taken to the poison-product dumpsite. I noticed that Hempz products seemed “green” and only had a few ingredients.

Per Alexis’ recommendation, I went to the health food store and bought Dr. Bronner’s “certified free trade” pure castille liquid soap. Besides water, it has hemp oil and maybe only five or six other ingredients (none of them Monsanto chemicals). I washed my hair with it this morning and let my hair air-dry. I was SHOCKED. I did not have to put any other products in my hair to be able to walk out the door and look fairly decent. I had full-on bounce and no frizzies. What a miracle!
