Richard is a true break-out king! He went from being a very successful businessman to a man reeling from the torture of being a whistleblower. Instead of sinking into a deep depression and whining about his lot in life, he spent his time thinking about the genesis of human (and very American) slavery in our society today. By going to the macro, where we see (and complain about) the results, he went to the micro – our educational system where we are systematically indoctrinated to be prey. Wealthy people spend their formative years receiving a very different education than most of us receive. They are taught in private schools how to become predators, while the rest of us in the public educational system are taught to be prey. Richard brings information to me that I may have known intuitively (and even through experience) by explaining the logic behind it all. It doesn’t happen by accident, but by design.
Beautifully put Deborah. I was just telling a librarian that my daughter, after recently pulling her out of a small ‘charter’ type of high school, that all she wanted to do was draw, listen to music, sing and write in her journals, I could actually ‘feel’ her getting happier and her spirit flowing freely again. The librarian said to my amazement, ‘That’s great! My children never saw the inside of a classroom and they’re fine.’ She went on to tell me as I was ordering all of Jesse Ventura’s books they had and others that in the Homeschooling Community what my daughter was experiencing was known as ‘detoxing’! That was great. She listens to Meria and at 16 knows more about ‘the bullshit’ than her former ‘teachers’. This DVD will bemy next purchase. Another one for the books Meria and Richard!
My daughter is in 7th grade in a public school. She’s a self thinker and are always asking why. Every time she or her class mates ask the question why in her reading or history class the teacher will say, “their you go again, thinking for yourself again, you know you are not allowed to ask why”. I’ve purchased this DVD and can’t wait to watch it with my 2 girls. I’m also thinking about taking them out of the public schooling system. Meria and Richard, thank you so much for all your hard work and giving us the real news.
Amazing that her teacher would actually SAY that to her, and yet it is not. I know you’ll enjoy the DVDS.
