i enjoyed the show today(but that is a given!).
Two items I’d like to add, as they may have been mentioned in another broadcast with Nathan, this maynot be anything new.
Native American teachings of how to kill an animal. That the more stress the animal is put down makes a big difference in taste as well as benefit.
2ndly, The economic impact since 2007 must also be contributed to individuals not having the income to afford meat.
In the next show, I’d love to hear both your thoughts on Organic Raising of meat and how it may or may not be helping us in their ethical values.
    Thanks!
i liked the additional understanding that the workers are themselves are possible abused victums.

I look forward to obtainng the free vegan transition booklet from Nathan site, http://www.choosingvegan.com

hi, glad you enjoyed the show. Check out the others in the archives with Nathan. The site for the free veg booklet is http://www.chooseveg.com
As for Native American teachings I am very familiar with them as I taught Native American Spirituality for YEARS. Of course they took everything in a sacred
manner and honoring fashion. They also laid down their bodies for the animals when it was time to go home. I doubt anyone would do that today (on both ends).
It’s not organic meat, it’s life – an animals life. Most of us have other choices today as we don’t have to hunt and forage.

My own personal beliefs (and many more spiritual teachers) is that the density of animal products inside
our bodies lock us into this dimension and block our clear channel to spirit. I believe it’s deliberate.
Of course everyone must make their own decision in their own time, as did I.
And yes, economics will force people to give it up as it’s already doing, drought too.
    hugs!

Thank you Nathan and Meria for a fabulous show! I have been Vegan for many years, In fact I can’t even remember the last time I ate any kind of meat or fish. I have to almost laugh when people ask me that famous question “how do you get protein?”. Sometimes I wonder if people even think about what kind of energy they are taking into their bodies from the suffering and frightened animals they are consuming. I’m thankful for people like you who are dedicated to stopping the cruelty…

  4. Meria says:

Yes, I get bored with that question. I’ve been vegan for 14 yrs and am strong and healthy. Eating bad vibration instead of sunlight isn’t a good idea. hugs

It is very important to keep harping on this subject, to pull out of being a carnivore, and telling other people why we have made this choice. I personally hate processed veggie burgers, but it is so easy to make black bean or faro/quinoa “burgers.” Houston’s had the best hand-made black bean veggie burgers and now The Cheesecake Factory has veggie burgers made from faro and beets. Even my carnivorous friends order this dish because it is hugely flavorful and they say they feel energized after eating the “burger,” not like they need to lay down and take a nap afterward.
