Loved this show Meria! I started out as a vegetarian, and now am a vegan…(I’m working on my husband) Anyway, I told him what you said about “not wanting to walk around with dead carcass in your body like a cemetary”. That really went deep with him. So, if you don’t mind, I’ll be using that the next time someone asks me why I don’t eat meat…:) I am definitely buying the “World Peace Diet” book!

It is really empowering to unplug from “the culture.” I was the biggest beef-eater ever….so many years ago. You are so correct that it is all the stuff we put on our “burgers” that makes them taste great. And it takes NO discipline to be a vegetarian. Once you “get” that eating meat is a true abomination, you will never go back. I was so glad to receive from you guys yet another “argument” to throw back at people who try to distract me by saying, “Well, eating plants is eating living things, so how do you justify that?” We eat the “fruits” of the plants that are essentially dead already, not the actual living plants themselves.

  4. Meria says:

right I don’t know too many people that eat the roots….

I was struck by the “mine” versus “Ours” how did it go so wrong…guess I need to read Will book on slavery.
I appreciate how much I learn from your various topics and I love that you allow the archiving and sharing of the golden oldies.!!

I think the archives are invaluable towards a complete education! Will’s book is the best, and I insist my students read it as required reading. hugs
